Welcome to our PADI 5 Star Scuba Diving Instructor Development Resort. If you always wanted to dive, here’s your chance! You can experience the wonders of the underwater world in the special one-day (introduction to diving) trip. The International team of fully qualified Instructors will ensure that this is the highlight of your holiday.

Anyone in good health from the age of 14 years upward can dive. Diving is on a daily basis from April to end October, in the beautiful Bay of Kalithea. A sheltered location with clear water and the shallow safe dive route make this an ideal location for first time divers and diver training. For qualified Divers, there are some really good underwater caverns to see. The Bay is situated very close to the now unused Thermal Spa, which is in the process of restoration. This is a good site to visit for the non-diving passengers that join us, as well as for the Divers to visit between the dives.

This Bay is also perfect for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing.

The diving boat that is used is spacious with an upper sundeck for sunbathing, a large saloon with shaded areas serving snacks and a big working area at the rear of the boat for the diving equipment. There is lots of space on board, so divers and non-divers can come along and share a great day out.

The day starts when you arrive at the boat, which is docked at Mandraki Harbor. After being welcomed aboard by the crew, you have to complete the registration forms and medical questionnaire. Anyone who is unsure about anything can consult our specialist doctor, who is on hand to medically check each Diver before the boat departs.

During the trip to the dive site, a theory lesson is given to first time Divers, advising them exactly what happens during the day. The lesson contains all of the serious and safety elements that are presented in an easy and lighthearted way, to relax and put the Divers at ease. The Qualified Divers and Courses Divers have their own Instructors and are briefed in a separate area.

Many optional extras are available at reasonable rates, such as:

• Rescue Diver (4-Days) For Advanced Open Water Diver and Medic First Aid Divers. The skills and the knowledge to carry out Diver rescue and developed including accident avoidance, life saving techniques and accident management.

The excursion takes place every day, the boat is called SYΜΙ ΙΙ and departs from Mandraki harbour at 09:00 and returns to Rhodes at 17:00 .
